America's biggest sporting event, the Super Bowl, will be targeted by a rally seeking justice for Australian yoga instructor Justine Damond and other victims of alleged police brutality in the twin cities of Minneapolis and St Paul.
Minneapolis' top prosecutor conceded last month he needed more time to decide if charges would be laid against the police officer who shot dead Ms Damond in a Minneapolis alley in July.
Ms Damond is one of numerous members of the public killed by authorities in the twin cities.
The NFL's Super Bowl will be held in Minneapolis on February 4.
"From Jamar Clark and Justine Damond, to Philando Castile and Phil Quinn, justice has been denied for these and many other lives stolen by Minneapolis and St Paul cops," a coalition of activist groups called the Super Bowl Anti-Racist Anti-Corporation Coalition said a statement.
Last year's Super Bowl attracted 111 million TV viewers in the US.
The February 4 protest march will start at a Minneapolis park and make its way to the Super Bowl venue, US Bank Stadium.
Former Sydneysider Ms Damond, 40, dressed in her pyjamas, was shot by Officer Mohamed Noor after she called 911 just before midnight on July 15 to report a woman screaming in her affluent Minneapolis neighbourhood.
Officer Noor, sitting in the front passenger seat of a police vehicle that pulled up in an alley behind Ms Damond's home, shot across his partner and hit Ms Damond as she approached in the darkness.
