Rapper charged with inciting riot at gig

Travis Scott is accused of encouraging fans to rush onstage with him, the second time the US rapper has been in trouble for inciting bad crowd behaviour.

Rapper Travis Scott has been charged for encouraging fans to rush on stage during a recent concert in Arkansas.

Police in Rogers say the Houston-born musician, whose real name is Jacques Webster, was arrested Saturday night on charges of inciting a riot, disorderly conduct and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Webster encouraged fans to bypass security and rush the stage, leaving a security guard, a police officer and several others injured, police said.

It's not the first time the 25-year-old has been in strife for egging-on fans to join him on stage.

Webster encouraged fans to vault security barricades at the 2015 Lollapalooza festival.
