South Australia's master of political stunts Nick Xenophon has struck again, this time with a "so bad it's good" TV commercial where he raps about the state's problems and how to fix them.
The SA-BEST leader, whose party is aiming to hold the balance of power after the election, is featured with some Bollywood dancers and rising from a hospital bed in the two-minute video released on Tuesday
"The state is going backwards, let's stop that in its tracks. A true-blue caring party, that's what SA lacks," he sings.
"Stop soaring power prices, kids going interstate. Vote for change with SA-BEST, before it's too damn late."
The commercial harks back to the very successful It's Time jingle used by Labor ahead of Gough Whitlam's victory at the 1972 federal election, minus the celebrities.

Crime, health problems, the brain drain and government overspending are cited as Mr Xenophon lays down his beat.
With an assortment of characters, including a robber, he tries to get across the message it's time to break up the two-party duopoly.
SA-BEST is planning to run candidates in more than 35 seats in the March 17 poll.
