Ravenshoe cafe demolished after explosion

The Serves You Right Cafe in Ravenshoe has been demolished following a freak explosion that killed two people.

The owner of a cafe that was hit by an out-of-control ute, sparking an explosion that killed his daughter, says "it's a good feeling" to see the building reduced to rubble.

Two people died and another 18 were injured when the ute ploughed into gas bottles at the side of the Ravenshoe building last month.

What was left of the Serves You Right Cafe was demolished over a 24 hour period on Wednesday.

"It's just rubble now," Owner Hans Nyholt, whose daughter Nicole Dempsey died in the accident, told News Corp.
