Members of an outlaw motorcycle gang are rolling west from Victoria as they make their annual national run.
More than 120 bikies from the Victorian and Tasmanian contingents of the Rebels Motorcycle Club are making their way across the state en route to Western Australia, where they will gather for a national meeting.
Victorian police were monitoring the Tasmanian contingent as they arrived by boat on Friday morning.
A number of bikies gathered at the Rebels' Sunshine West clubhouse before heading off, planning to stop overnight in Murray Bridge in South Australia.
Detective Inspector Ian Campbell said police were monitoring the bikies to minimise any community intimidation that may arise and to increase community reassurance.

"We have had a strong police presence to ensure all the Rebels comply with road safety rules. This is about community reassurance," Det Insp Campbell told reporters at a checkpoint between Stawell and Ararat.
He said Rebels contingents from across the country would meet in Perth over the next couple of days.
There have been no issues or arrests so far in Victoria, with police checking licences, registration and helmets and breath testing the gang for drugs and alcohol.
