Rebels continue Congo rampage

Thousands of Congolese refugees fleeing growing violence have accused rebel group M23 of widespread killing, rape and forced labour in the north Kivu province.

UN experts say the Congolese group M23, led by General Bosco Ntaganda, have been heavily armed by Rwanda.

Half a million people are said to be running for their lives ahead of advancing rebel forces.

Many have fled to neighbouring Uganda and Rwanda, while vast informal camps have sprung up inside Congo to aid thousands of internally displaced people.
