Rebels re-sign backrower Faingaa

Melbourne Rebels backrower Colby Fainga'a has re-signed with the club until the end of the 2018 Super Rugby season.

The 24-year-old has 65 Super Rugby caps, 31 of those with the Rebels.

Fainga'a appeared in every Rebels match last season, starting in seven of those matches and scoring a try and was co-captain of the Melbourne Rising in last year's NRC competition.

Melbourne coach Tony McGahan feels Fainga'a can also take the next step up and challenge for a place in the Wallabies squad.
