Rebuilding lives in Christchurch

New Zealand's city of Christchurch is being rebuilt, but the rebuilding of peoples lives is proving much more complicated.

70 per cent of the Christchurch CBD has had to be demolished as a result of an earthquake three years ago.

 

Gradually the city is being rebuilt, but the rebuilding of peoples lives is proving much more complicated.

 

185 people died when the magnitude 6.3 quake struck on February 22, 2011.

 

Dateline's Patrick Abboud is just back from Christchurch where he met some of those who lost family or friends.

 

He's speaking to Greg Dyett, ahead of tonight's edition of Dateline on SBS ONE.
