Recipe To Riches winner Garth Midgley may have had to change the name of his winning treat Chocorn after letting the domain rights expire.
Midgley registered the domain name Chocorn a decade ago after creating the chocolate-covered popcorn treat in 2001.
However, only a few weeks before he auditioned for Network Ten's unique cooking series, which aired last year, the domain name expired.
Midgley let it go, convinced his idea to market Chocorn was a pipe dream and that he would only ever make the treat for his family and friends.
Had someone snapped up the name during the weeks it was available, it could have been a major headache for Midgley, who came up with the name Chocorn soon after he created the treat.

"I thought after 10 years nothing was going to happen with it, so I didn't renew the domain name," Midgley tells AAP.
"Then a few weeks later I auditioned for Recipe To Riches and when I got through I went straight home and re-registered the name again.
"I'm lucky it was still there."
As part of his prize for winning Recipe To Riches, Midgley has formed a partnership with Woolworths supermarkets, which will sell his treat from April 9.
When Network Ten announced the release date this week for Chocorn, it also confirmed there would be second season of the reality series.
Recipe To Riches is more viewer-friendly than MasterChef and My Kitchen Rules because fans of the show can taste the food the following day.
Each episode's winning dish goes on sale the next morning at Woolworths supermarkets around Australia.
The dish that wins the series is the product that sells the most units in the week immediately after an episode airs.
Chocorn will be available in three flavours - dark, milk and white chocolate - when it hits the shelves. Midgley says he has another 20 flavours, including coffee, that he wants to produce.
"It's slowly, slowly," he says.
Applying to be on Recipe To Riches involves a two-stage audition process, he says, and amateur cooks with frozen, cold or hot dishes are not disadvantaged during the early judging period.
"There are fridges, freezers and microwaves available, so no one is at a disadvantage during the auditions."
