A back-to-the-wall century from veteran batsman Tom Cooper lifted South Australia to a handy first innings lead against New South Wales in their Sheffield Shield match at the SCG.
Cooper revived the Redbacks innings from a precarious 7-141 to be all out for 281 and earn his side a 25-run first-innings advantage.
The Blues ended the day at 1-61 after a 14-over spell before in the final session.
Daniel Hughes (32) and Ed Cowan (16) remain unbeaten after Nick Larkin (three) was dismissed lbw to rookie left-arm fast bowler Nick Winter.
Cowan, the 35-year-old veteran of 18 Tests, passed 10,000 first class runs late in the day.

But it was Cooper who was the star on day two, reaching his 10th first-class century with SA nine wickets down before finishing not out on 105.
Cooper enjoyed invaluable support from spinner Tom Andrews who scored 50 for his maiden Shield half century, with the pair adding 97 for the eighth wicket.
Cooper's heroics took some of the gloss off NSW's chief wicket-takers Trent Copeland and Daniel Fallins.
Paceman Copeland bowled with unrelenting accuracy for an impressive return of 4-63 from 25 overs, while legspinner Fallins picked up 3-51 on debut.
