They might be light on star power but South Australia have one hand on an unexpected finals berth in the domestic one-day cup, following a dramatic win over Victoria by 17 runs on Friday.
The Redbacks have ground out three wins from their five matches so far and each of them has come down to the final overs.
Friday's contest was no different on a testing Bankstown Oval pitch with SA's modest tally of 198 proving just out of reach for a strong Victoria batting line-up.
Victoria were dismissed for 181 with 14 balls remaining.
The win was built around a stubborn 58 from developing talent Jake Lehmann.
Lehmann, the 23-year-old son of national coach Darren, remained resolute for what proved to be a match-winning 89-ball knock from the No.5.
SA then proved equally redoubtable in the field reducing Victoria to 7-105 before getting the better of the tail.
"We have had three tight wins now and it is just a case of us believing we can win any game from any position, even though we were defending a low total today," Lehmann said.
"The coaching group have brought in a fresh view, and everything we have done is looking positive and forward.
"We knew it was going to be a tough toil on that deck. We had no set total in mind and just worked hard towards getting us many as we could get."
John Hastings top-scored for Victoria with 43 before he was undone by the bowling of Tom Andrews (1-27). Kane Richardson (3-23) mopped up the tail.
The match started disastrously for South Australia who, having won the toss, lost key batsman Travis Head for a duck in the third ball of the innings.
Part-time medium-pacer Marcus Stoinis was the unexpected bowling star for the Vics in claiming career best figures of 4-43.
