Restaurateur attacked for refusing booze

A 54-year-old Sydney restaurant owner has been bashed after refusing to serve two men more booze.

Two men have attacked a Sydney restaurant owner after he refused to serve them more alcohol.

Police say the Campsie pair set upon the 54-year-old restaurateur inside his Strathfield eatery about 10pm on Saturday.

The alleged offenders, aged 31 and 33, were both charged with affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm and will front court later this month.

Paramedics treated the restaurant owner at the scene and he did not require hospitalisation.
