More than a day after it withdrew from the Sydney to Hobart citing rig damage, German boat Haspa Hamburg has made repairs and rejoined the race.

Making its debut appearance in the blue water classic, the yacht retired and pulled in to Eden on the NSW far south coast about 11am (AEDT) Sunday.

But race organisers on Monday afternoon said the boat will continue its journey to Hobart.
