Returned traveller brings measles to WA

West Australians have been warned they might have contracted measles from a traveller who brought the infectious disease back from an Asian holiday.

A traveller returning from an Asian holiday while infected with measles has sparked a warning for West Australians to be wary of possible exposure.

WA Health medical co-ordinator Paul Effler has released a list of locations where people might have contracted measles from the returned traveller.

"Anyone who thinks they are infected should call ahead and mention their possible contact with measles so they can be isolated when they arrive at the GP surgery or Emergency Department to prevent infecting other patients and staff," Professor Effler said on Saturday
