Revenge porn claim against Qld gov staffer

A staffer in Queensland Treasurer Curtis Pitt's electoral office has resigned over allegations he concealed domestic violence orders issued against him.

Revenge porn claims have reportedly been made against the Queensland treasurer's former electoral officer, who resigned over allegations he hid domestic violence orders made against him.

Treasurer Curtis Pitt released a statement on Saturday saying the staffer quit immediately after he was approached about the claims, including that he concealed domestic and family violence protection orders issued to him after his initial employment screening.

"I've been shocked to learn of these allegations and I'm extremely disappointed that such a serious matter was never disclosed to me," Mr Pitt said.

News Corp has named the former staffer as Glen Martin and is reporting that the 33-year-old's ex-partner has made revenge porn allegations against him.

The 32-year-old woman claims Mr Martin posted nude photos of her on website chat rooms, and has embarrassed and shamed her.

Mr Martin has denied the claim.

"I was emotionally abusive towards her in our relationship, but I never hit her, and I refute the claims of revenge porn and as embarrassing and humiliating as all this is, mud sticks," he told News Corp.

Mr Martin admitted he was "into threesomes and group sex" and said he had been in an open relationship with his ex-partner.

"We had an open relationship and shared our images with lots of other like-minded people," he said.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman told AAP a woman had made a complaint with police in Cairns on Friday, however they couldn't provide details about the complaint or confirm who was allegedly involved.

No charges have been laid but officers are investigating, the spokeswoman said.
