A $100,000 reward has been offered to solve the brutal murder of a Vietnamese man who was gunned down in front of several hundred guests at a Sydney concert and left in the street to die.
Cuong Manh Tran was shot several times with a .22 calibre gun on December 5, 2009 after a brawl erupted at a Vietnamese Christmas concert at the Monte Carlo Function Centre in Fairfield.
He was carried into the street and left to die by his friends, a statement from NSW police minister Michael Daley said.
Three other men were injured with a machete during the brawl.
Despite 350 people being at the centre at the time, police have been unable to solve the murder.
"There were 350 patrons attending the Monte Carlo Function Centre that night; someone knows who fired that gun," Mr Daley
said.
"$100,000 is a lot of money and hopefully it will provide someone with the motive to clear their conscience."
Detective Senior Constable Sharon Neil, from the State Crime Command Homicide Squad, agreed someone knows who murdered Mr Tran.
