Rex Gilroy: Yowie Hunter

Every year we hear of scientists discovering a brand new species, generally it's some kind of tiny insect or microbe.

Scientists love to find new exotic creature however there are some creatures that have always remain mystical. But there are some people out there searching for the creatures that conventional science believes do not exist.

Rex and Heather Gilroy have spent more than half a century searching for Yowies. Their tiny house has become a museum of giant footprints, ancient rocks and human skulls kept in recycled ice cream containers.

But what happens when you spend fifty years building a collection that the rest of world won't acknowledge?

The Feed's Nick McDougall spent some time with Yowie hunter Rex Gilroy to find out why he believes Yowies really do exist.
