Ride-sharing driver carjacked in Brisbane

A carjacker is on the run after stealing a car from a ride-sharing driver and crashing into two other cars in Brisbane.

Police are still hunting a thief who carjacked a ride-sharing driver at gunpoint in inner-Brisbane before crashing into two other cars while evading police.

The man, described as being in his 40s with short brown hard and a stubble beard, allegedly used a gun to force the 40-year-old driver out of his white Toyota around 9.20pm (AEST) on Sunday night in Spring Hill.

He sped off when police tried to stop him on Kelvin Grove Road, but crashed into two cars stopped at a red light before driving off.

No one was injured during the ordeal.

Police are seeking any information regarding the whereabouts of the car with registrations plates 163 VWP.

The public are urged to call police if they see the car but not to approach it.
