The Commonwealth Secretariat has defended the inclusion of Rwanda and Sri Lanka in this weekend's Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
There have been demonstrations against the presence of the Presidents of Sri Lanka and Rwanda for their alleged lack of commitment to human rights.
However, Commonwealth Deputy Secretary-General Mmasekgoa Masire-Mwamba says these countries should be involved, so their human rights records can be more closely examined.
The Deputy Secretary-General has spoken to Sacha Payne.
