A trusted holy man who manipulated two vulnerable women into having sex to rid themselves of black magic curses has been jailed in Sydney for at least 15 years.
In the NSW District Court today Judge Penelope Hock set a maximum term of 20 years for 63-year-old Tony Golossian.
His friend Arthur Psichogios, 41, was jailed for at least 12 years and a maximum of 16.
Psichogios kissed and hugged his wife Frances Psichogios, 38, after she was jailed for at least five years, with a maximum of nine years, guilty of seven charges, including administering an intoxicating substance with intent to enable sexual assault.
The two victims were convinced that black magic curses had been placed on them and their families and were forced to have sex to get rid of the supposed curses during so-called prayer sessions.
Judge Hock said the emotional harm caused both women was substantial.
Earlier, riot squad police today turned up tp the Sydney court .
Last month, before Judge Penelope Hock presided over a sentencing hearing for the trio, the police officer in charge of the chase was attacked, allegedly by relatives of one of the defendants.
The charges relate to two victims who were told black magic curses had been placed on them and were forced into sex "prayer sessions" to rid themselves of the curses.
After last month's attack outside the court, Golossian's wife and son were charged over the incident.
Six members of the riot squad were waiting outside the court room on Friday.
