Veteran Liberal Andrew Robb will conduct a review of the party's federal election campaign.

The former cabinet minister and Liberal Party federal director is one of four people appointed to examine all aspects of the 2016 campaign, with party members and divisions invited to make submissions.

Former Howard government minister Chris Ellison and former NSW premier Barry O'Farrell have also been appointed.
