Roberts awaiting news after NRL ref touch

Brisbane centre James Roberts may be hit with a contrary conduct charge after being spotted touching a referee during their 25-10 NRL win over the Warriors.

Brisbane centre James Roberts is facing a nervous wait after being spotted touching a referee late in the Broncos' 25-10 NRL win over the Warriors.

Bulldogs forward David Klemmer was hit with a grade one contrary conduct charge by the match review committee after making contact with whistleblower Ben Cummins in Thursday's 18-16 win over Penrith.

Klemmer faces a two game ban due to a poor track record.

Roberts can be seen patting referee Matt Noyen on the chest after Brisbane were awarded a penalty as they were cruising to victory at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

The match review committee will release their findings on Monday.
