James Harden's 32-game streak with at least 30 points is over, but the Rockets were still too strong for the Atlanta Hawks in Houston.

His run was the second-longest in NBA history behind a 65-game streak by Wilt Chamberlain.

Harden finished with a handy 28 points in the 119-111 win despite missing all 10 three-pointers he attempted.

Hawks rookie Trae Young put up 36 points which included a career-high eight 3-pointers.

Klay Thompson scored 26 points and DeMarcus Cousins 24 as the Golden State Warriors enjoyed a 121-110 road win over the Charlotte Hornets.

Kevin Durant had 20 points and seven rebounds, while it was an off night for Stephen Curry who finished with 16 points.

Tobias Harris finished with a game-high 29 points and Aussie Ben Simmons had 14 points and 12 assists as Philadelphia narrowly held off the Pelicans in New Orleans.

In the absence of All-Star Joel Embiid, 7-foot-3 reserve Boban Marjanovic chipped in with 12 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks in the Sixers' 111-110 win.

Khris Middleton and Malcolm Brogdon scored 22 points apiece as the NBA-leading Milwaukee, without injured All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo, beat Chicago 117-106.

The Bucks picked up their eighth straight road win and 17th victory in 19 games.

Memphis ended a four-game skid and put another dent in the Los Angeles Lakers' playoff hopes, enjoying a 110-105 home win.

Mike Conley had 30 points, Jonas Valanciunas 20 and 13 rebounds for the Grizzlies, while LeBron James racked up 24 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists as the Lakers lost their fourth game in five.

In LA, not even a Luka Doncic triple-double (28 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) could get the Dallas Mavericks over the line against the Clippers. Montrezl Harrell top-scoring with 32 points for the home side in the 121-112 win.

Karl-Anthony Towns had 34 points and 21 rebounds on his return from the concussion protocol, helping the Timberwolves hold off Sacramento 112-106 in Minnesota.
