Three minders have shielded Rolf Harris from cameramen as he returned to his home from prison after being bailed for indecent assault charges he's facing in a London court.

The 87-year-old entertainer arrived at his house in a leafy riverside neighbourhood in Berkshire in a blue sedan just after 9am British time on Friday.

A man wearing a hooded jacket and a scarf over his face was in the driveway and helped two other men shield Harris from cameramen as he got out of the car and walked up some stairs to his front door.

There was a tussle between the groups, with one cameraman saying "how dare you" after he was pushed.

Harris, wearing a blue jacket, was greeted by one of his dogs on the way in.

Earlier on Friday, he was released from Stafford Prison.

Harris has been appearing by videolink at his trial in Southwark Crown Court on four charges of groping teenage girls in 1971, 1978 and 1983.

On Monday, he is due to walk into court in person for the last week of his trial.
