A London jury has found Rolf Harris not guilty on three groping charges but failed to reach verdicts on four other counts, meaning a retrial might take place. Here is a snapshot of the case:
WHO
Rolf Harris, 86-year-old Australian entertainer, artist and television personality.
CHARGES
Six counts of indecent assault and one of sexual assault against girls and women aged between 13 and 42 when the offences were committed between 1971 and 2004.
ARREST
While in jail following his first indecent assault convictions in 2014, Harris is interviewed about further allegations in February 2015 by Operation Yewtree officers investigating historical child sex abuse.
He is charged in February 2016 with a further seven indecency counts and pleads not guilty the following month.
TRIAL
The prosecution said Harris's previous convictions showed he had an "appetite" for groping girls and young women in public venues.
The defence accused complainants of fabricating their claims in the hopes of gaining financial compensation.
VERDICTS
The jury of seven women and five men found Harris not guilty on two counts of indecent assault and one of sexual assault but could not reach majority verdicts on four other counts.
NEXT STEP
The judge discharged the jury and has set a hearing date of February 15 to determine if a retrial will take place on the undecided charges.
