After injury robbed him of his State of Origin debut last year, rookie Blues winger is determined to turn his maiden interstate appearance into a career in the sky blue.
Many say the blockbusting Penrith three-quarter, who has been one of the NRL's leading tacklebreakers for several years now, is made for Origin.
The 25-year-old gets to prove that on Wednesday night in the series opener at ANZ Stadium.
"I want to be here for the long run, I don't just want to play in a couple of games," Mansour said.
"Last year was a massive roller coaster for me mentally and physically and until I overcame those injuries I just couldn't get back on my feet.
"I have worked so hard with my rehab and everything to get where I am and I want to make the most of this chance with the Blues."
Mansour's passage into the NSW team has been made easier by his relationship and former combination with ex-Panthers clubmate and new Blues teammate Michael Jennings.
Mansour also already knows the game of fellow Blues debutant and Penrith fullback Matt Moylan intimately.
"I debuted outside 'Jenko' at Penrith and he is a crafty centre, one of the best in the game and we have a great relationship," Mansour said.
"He has so much experience in Origin and has been a great help to me in camp this week with the boys.
"Matt and I have a good relationship at Penrith and I'm sure we can bring that into Origin."
