Oscar-nominated children's favourite Room On the Broom has won a prize at the British Animation Awards.
The TV short, which missed out on the animated short film prize at the Academy Awards last Sunday, beat the Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists, and The Snowman and the Snowdog to win the coveted best long form prize.
During the awards show in London on Friday, veteran actor Bill Nighy missed out on the best voice performance trophy for his turn in the Hungry Corpse, losing to comedienne Morwenna Banks for Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom.
In the music video category, director Andrew Thomas Huang was honoured for his work on the clip for the song Before Your Very Eyes, by Thom Yorke's supergroup Atoms for Peace.
