Roos resist urge to wield selection axe

North Melbourne have made just one change at the selection table as they look for their first win of the season when they play Hawthorn on Sunday.

North Melbourne coach Brad Scott has resisted the urge to give his misfiring AFL side a shake up at selection, with the return of Trent Dumont the only change for their clash with Hawthorn.

Dumont replaces the injured Marley Williams in the team that is winless after two rounds, despite senior regulars Jed Anderson and Sam Wright returning to full fitness.

The pair have been named as emergencies along with Mason Wood and Paul Ahern for Sunday's encounter at the MCG.

The Hawks made two changes, former Port Adelaide star Chad Wingard to make his club debut after overcoming a calf strain and David Mirra earning a recall.

The duo replace stars Shaun Burgoyne and Liam Shiels, who both sustained hamstring injuries in a dramatic loss to the Western Bulldogs.

Sunday's AFL schedule gets underway at Marvel Stadium where the Bulldogs host Gold Coast.

Both coaches have stuck with the same 22 that enjoyed wins in round two.

Fremantle host St Kilda at Optus Stadium in the late game, with the Dockers to be without imposing ruckman Sean Darcy who was managed.

Taylin Duman and Brandon Matera come in with Lachie Schultz dropped.

The Saints have rested Jack Steven after his interrupted preparation, Hunter Clark coming in for his first game of the season.
