Roosters half Keary breaks jaw at training

Sydney Roosters five-eighth Luke Keary has suffered a broken jaw during NRL pre-season training.

The Sydney Roosters expect star playmaker Luke Keary to recover from a broken jaw in time for round one of the NRL season.

Keary's pre-season has been set back by the injury suffered in a training collision with a teammate.

The 25-year-old five-eighth had been preparing to line up in a new-look spine featuring champion halfback Cooper Cronk and NSW fullback James Tedesco.

A club spokeswoman told the NRL website Keary "should be fine for round one", with an expected lay-off of four weeks.

The Roosters begin their season against the Wests Tigers at ANZ Stadium on March 10.
