Roosters unfazed by change rooms switch

Coach Trent Robinson is hopeful the Sydney Roosters' preperations for Manly on Saturday won't be affected by the Allianz Stadium NRL finals double header.

Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson is hoping Saturday's change-room shuffle won't disrupt his side's preparations for their NRL finals clash with Manly.

The minor premiers host the Sea Eagles at Allianz Stadium at 7pm (AEST) in the second match of an historic finals double-header that will be preceded by the 4pm encounter between Cronulla and North Queensland.

The short turnaround between games - plus an earlier Holden Cup match - means the Sharks and Cowboys will be forced to change at the Sydney Cricket Ground before and after their match, using Allianz Stadium's main rooms only for warming-up and at halftime.

The Roosters and Sea Eagles won't get full access to the ground until after the interval, but Robinson admitted the shifting around could affect his squad's pre-game routine.

"I hope it doesn't, but it's a new system they've put in place so we're not really sure until tomorrow," Robinson said.

"But if it does, then we've just got to let it go and keep focused on the game.

"We get together early and by the time we get to the game hopefully everything can be as normal.

"We've worked hard this year to gain the advantage of a home ground here and I hope ... the preparation that we have as far as change rooms is all very similar."

Robinson is aiming to lead the Roosters to their first premiership since 2002, but the 36-year-old, who's in his first season as an NRL coach, played down the pressure of the situation.

"I feel pretty comfortable. I haven't thought about that too much," he said.

"We don't need to change what we've been doing, I don't need to change what I've been doing as a coach, we just need to heighten the stuff that we've done well this year."
