Western Bulldogs ruckman Jordan Roughead is confident his disrupted preparation won't affect his performance in Saturday's AFL grand final.
Roughead suffered bleeding in his right eye when a ball was kicked into his face during last Saturday's preliminary final win over Greater Western Sydney.
The important tall was given the green light to play after an appointment with his eye specialist on Friday morning and says he's not concerned he might be underprepared.
"It hasn't impacted me that dramatically," Roughead said at Friday's grand final parade.
"The first couple of days in the week I was laid up in a dark room and stayed away from the club and training and tried to keep the heart rate down.
"I trained fully yesterday and I'll build into the game on Saturday."
Roughead couldn't see out of the injured eye until after the game against GWS but says his vision gradually came back, leaving him optimistic he would be available for the grand final.
"There might have been some slight fears but I've got some great experts and great doctors around me," he said.
"They were giving me all the information from day one and I was pretty confident I'd get up."
The 25-year-old has shown the ability to match it with Sydney double act Sam Naismith and Kurt Tippett but says the Bulldogs must bring the same frenetic pressure that helped them defeat the Giants.
"I don't think there is one key," Roughead said.
"Sydney's a great team. They've shown that throughout the year and through the finals campaign. We're just going to have to bring our pressure, move the ball cleanly and get as many looks at it as we can."
