With less than a week remaining until Iranians go to the polls to vote for their next president a centrist cleric has emerged as a dark horse.
Hassan Rouhani's first TV appearance last month, where he accused state-run media of lies and censorship, seems to have helped the former secretary of the Supreme National Security Council garner more public support.
Analysts say Mr Rouhani could challenge the heavily favourite ultra-conservative contenders.
