An exuberant lay member of Westminster Abbey has cartwheeled along the red-carpeted aisle in delight at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton unaware that he was being filmed.
The unnamed verger, an employee who assists in church services, performed two rotations which were caught by television cameras left running after the ceremony finished and the congregation had left the abbey.
His long black robe flowing as his legs flew though the air, he ended with a bounce and a big grin.
"It was an expression of pure exuberance," an abbey spokesman told AFP.
