Princess Eugenie has shared two shy kisses with her new husband Jack Brooksbank after their lavish royal wedding ceremony.

On the West Steps of St George's Chapel on Friday, newlyweds Eugenie and Jack beamed with delight and waved to onlookers.

The couple tentatively performed the kisses for the cameras on the steps, which were decorated with autumn flowers and lined with Grenadier Guards in their distinctive red tunics and bearskin hats.

The Queen's granddaughter Eugenie and Brooksbank said their vows in front of a star-studded congregation of 800 people.

Watching in the historic 15th-century chapel of Windsor Castle were the monarch, Prince Philip, and more than 40 members of the royal family including Prince Charles, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Celebrities included Hollywood actresses Liv Tyler and Demi Moore, supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, singers Ricky Martin, Ellie Goulding and James Blunt, actor Stephen Fry as well as pop star Robbie Williams.

Eugenie's sophisticated dress, which featured wide fold-over shoulders, a low back and full-flowing train, was by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos.

The low-back feature was specifically requested by Eugenie, who has scars after surgery when she was 12 to correct scoliosis.

Eugenie was also wearing the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara loaned to her by the Queen.

The day's only hitch was when bridesmaid Princess Charlotte took a tumble as she arrived before the ceremony.

Accompanied by brother Prince George, the three year-old enthusiastically waved to the adoring crowds as they approached the chapel before she fell.

Charlotte was not the only member of the young bridal party to struggle with the steps.

Page boy Louis de Givenchy also stumbled as he entered the church.

Meghan Markle, dressed in a navy dress and coat by her wedding dress designer Givenchy, and Harry were returning to the chapel just five months after they married in the same Windsor Castle venue.
