Rudd, Abbott east bound

After visiting regional and west Australia, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Opposition Leader Tony Abbott are east bound.

The election trail heads back to Australia's east coast to wrap up the second week of campaigning.

Since jetting to the Northern Territory on Thursday Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has nearly come full circle, having visited Western Australia and South Australia, before heading to Sydney on Sunday.

And after a quick dash to WA on Saturday, taking in Perth and the Pilbara, Opposition Leader Tony Abbott will be back in Melbourne to start Sunday.

As always, the leaders' schedules remain largely under wraps, but the pair will come together in Brisbane on Wednesday, facing 100 voters for a community forum at the Broncos Leagues Club.
