Kevin Rudd's new campaign posters reportedly make no reference to the party he once led.
A month after being dumped as Prime Minster, Rudd's campaign placards feature the Southern Cross, which is typically part of Labor logo, but the word 'Labor' appears to have been airbrushed out, News Ltd reported.
Throughout his campaign, Mr Rudd has also made no reference to the Prime Minister Julia Gillard, who helped bring about his ousting.
Mr Rudd is running for the Federal seat of Griffith and his office has reportedly defended the posters, saying the people of his electorate are well aware of his ties to the Labor party.
"Mr Rudd has been the local Member for Griffith for 12 years and people in the electorate are well aware that Mr Rudd is a member of the Australian Labor Party," his office said in a statement to News Ltd.
