Rudd responds to eviction report

Former prime minister Kevin Rudd has taken to social media to clarify a report he's been asked to leave his Queensland office for Malcolm Turnbull.

Kevin Rudd has hit out at Malcolm Turnbull's office over a report he has been asked to move out of his Queensland office to make way for the prime minister.

The former prime minister responded to the News Corp article on Tuesday, insisting Mr Turnbull's chief-of-staff wrote to him this year saying there was no need to move.

"If Turnbull now wants to evict my staff, he should write saying he's changed his mind, not have lies leaked to the Courier Fail," Mr Rudd tweeted.
