Ruling due on Vic teen detention order

Details could be revealed of a preventative detention order used to detain a Melbourne teen who was later charged with a terror offence.

A Supreme Court judge will rule on whether to release details of a preventative detention order used by police to detain a teenager now facing a terror charge.

Harun Causevic, 18, was arrested by counter-terrorism police in April and held on an interim preventative detention order for three days before being charged in connection with an alleged terror plot targeting police on Anzac Day.

Justice Peter Riordan will hand down a ruling on Wednesday on whether details of the order will be made public.
