Russian teachers have rallied behind a sacked colleague, who was asked to leave a school after she shared photos online of herself in a pinup swimsuit.
Viktoria Popova, 26, taught at a middle school in the Siberian city of Omsk. She also works as a model.
Ms Popova was told parents had complained about photos she had shared online, and that she had let down the reputation of the school.
But thousands of teachers have disagreed with the decision and have rallied together to share their own swimsuit photos aiming to show ‘teachers are people too’.
Teacher Yulia Makarova, who shared a photo on Instagram, said the dismissal of Ms Popova was an outrage.
"I consider the dismissal of the teacher an outrageous example of hypocrisy, stupidity and lawlessness," she wrote.
"We are teachers but we are also people, and therefore, we have the right to look different outside of school."
Most of the photographs shared on Instagram and Russian social media platform Vkontakte (VK) were taken at the beach or by the pool, but some of the teachers used the hashtag to share some of their interests outside of the classroom - including pole dancing and fire twirling.
Ms Popova has since thanked her fellow teachers for their support via Instagram.
The VK account of the Russian Education Ombudsman, which shared many of the photos, said people must understand that teachers are entitled to their own private lives.

“Teachers are also people, and have the same rights as other citizens,” it said.
The school has since invited the history teacher to return to her role, but it is unknown whether Ms Popova has accepted the offer.

Since the controversy started Ms Popova has also been approached by modelling agencies.
