Brisbane Roar extended their unbeaten run to an A-League record 14 matches with a 5-1 thrashing of Central Coast at Bluetongue Stadium.
Showing no signs of waning dominance, the Roar were at their slick best to move six points clear atop the table.
A double to in-form Costa Rican striker Jean Carlos Solorzano in the opening 11 minutes got the visitors off to a great start before Mitch Nichols made it 3-0 by halftime.
Substitute Adam Kwasnik pulled one back for the Mariners in the second half but Reinaldo and an Alex Wilkinson own goal inflicted more misery on the 5858 home fans.
With both sides playing their fifth game in almost two weeks, there were little signs of fatigue from the visitors, who impressed from the start with slick, hi-tempo passing and found plenty of early space.
Late goal sees Fury draw
A late goal secured North Queensland Fury a 1-1 draw against a depleted Perth Glory in the A-League game at Dairy Farmers Stadium on Sunday.
A crowd of 4,491 braved wet conditions to see former Fury marquee player Robbie Fowler score with a header in the 23rd minute and the home side secure a late equaliser in similar fashion through Mark Hughes in the 80th.
North Queensland took advantage of Perth being reduced to nine men early in the second half when both Brent Griffiths and Naum Sekulovski were sent off for second bookable offences.
Glory Coach Ian Ferguson was happy to come away with one point considering the circumstances.
"I felt when we had the 11 men on the park we were doing well and controlling the game,” said Ferguson.
"I am just very proud of the boys tonight. They have done a fantastic job with only nine men and they hung in well there,” he said.
North Queensland Coach Franz Straka tried to get something positive out of the result: "We have to be happy about the point but I think were still very disappointed."
