A six-hour siege in which two women were held at gunpoint inside a Victorian cafe has ended.
A 69-year-old man holed up inside the premises gave himself up to police just after 3pm on Saturday.
Officers were called to the cafe, near the corner of Point Nepean Road and Ozone Road in Rye, at 7.45am after reports of an armed man inside.
Heavily-armed officers cordoned off the area and negotiated with the man until he surrendered without incident.
It is believed he was known to both women.

They were uninjured but taken Rosebud Hospital for observation.
