SA blaze under control but crews remain

Fire crews will continue to monitor conditions north of Adelaide after a raging bushfire killed two people and seriously injured five others.

Two people are dead and five are fighting for their lives after a devastating bushfire burnt through 82,000 hectares north of Adelaide over 48 hours.

The Country Fire Service declared the blaze under control on Friday but will continue to monitor conditions over the weekend.

Allan Tiller, 69, and Janet Hughes, 56, have been remembered as treasured members of their communities.

The fire razed or seriously damaged 87 homes along with 384 farm buildings, 98 vehicles and 89 pieces of farm machinery.
