The Country Fire Service (CFS) said the bushfire at Finniss was brought under control late on Friday night, but that firefighters were still in the area to control flare-ups.
"The Finniss fire that we worked on yesterday has been contained, it was contained about 8pm yesterday," a CFS spokesman told AAP.

"We've got about 50 crew on deck just to spot out any flare-ups."
He said the bushfire threat across the state was easing because of a cool change.
"The weather at the moment is in the 20s, we're not predicting any hot weather and the worst of it is over," the spokesman said.
Some parts of SA reached temperatures in the high 40s on Friday, with Wudinna, on the Eyre Peninsula, hitting a sweltering 48.2C and the northern town of Tarcoola recording 47.4C.
A cool change has swept through much of the state on Saturday, dropping temperatures in many parts into the high 20s.
The CFS also said a bushfire burning in Victoria had caused smoke to drift over the border into SA.
It advised that smoke from the fire in Victoria's southwest had spread across a wide area of SA's southeast.
