A small fire, caused by an electrical fault in a restaurant appliance, has caused up to $50,000 damage in Adelaide's casino.

A small electrical fire in Adelaide's casino has caused up to $50,000 worth of damage.

The small blaze, caused by an electrical fault in a restaurant's dehydrator, was extinguished by sprinklers on Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters were called and people were evacuated, before being allowed back inside shortly afterward.

Damage, mostly water related, was confined to the restaurant and an adjoining cigarette store.
