ENROLLED: A record 1,201,755 people are enrolled to vote on March 17, a 5.2 per cent increase compared to the 2014 election.
STANDING: 264 candidates will contest the 47 lower house seats, compared to 204 in 2014. 43 candidates have nominated for the 11 upper house seats. Only half the Legislative Council seats are contested at each election.
PARTIES: Six parties will run major tickets. Labor, Liberal and The Greens will contest all 47 seats, while Nick Xenophon's SA-BEST party will contest 36 seats, the Australian Conservatives 33 and the Dignity Party 30.
TICKETS: The seats of Kaurna, in the south, and Stuart, in the state's northeast, have the fewest candidates, with just three, while Croydon, in Adelaide's northwest, has the most with nine.
LEADERS: Labor Premier Jay Weatherill and Liberal Leader Steven Marshall both drew the top spots on the tickets for their respective seats. SA-BEST leader Nick Xenophon drew the seventh and last spot for his seat.
