South Australia's royal commission into the Murray-Darling Basin has offered to look into the fish deaths in the Darling River.

South Australia's royal commission into the Murray-Darling Basin has offered to extend its inquiry to consider the recent fish deaths in the Darling River.

Commissioner Bret Walker is due to hand his report to the state government by February 1.

But he's written to the government offering to look into the deaths in the light of reported comments that they have been blamed on measures designed to ensure minimum water flows to SA.
