SA jobless rate at near six-year low

South Australia now has the second lowest unemployment rate among all the states with a dip to 5.4 per cent in June.

South Australia's jobless rate has fallen to its lowest level in almost six years.

Unemployment in June was 5.4 per cent, down from 5.6 per cent in May, the second lowest among all the states.

"The state government welcomes the decrease in the unemployment rate for the second consecutive month, but we know there is still a significant amount of work to do to lower costs for businesses to drive South Australia's economy and further jobs growth," Industry and Skills Minister David Pisoni said.
