The South Australian government's election campaign strategy has been leaked and Premier Jay Weatherill says it just shows how hard Labor has been working.

The documents detailed in the Adelaide Advertiser on Wednesday include the themes the government will address over the coming weeks in the lead-up to the March poll.

They also reveal the government's difficult financial position, with all policies urged to be budget neutral and a priority on community engagement over any new proposals.

Mr Weatherill says it won't make much difference to the government to have the information in the public arena and he's happy to debate the policies covered.

He said the government might vary the schedule since the documents were old.

"But it roughly sets out where we're heading," the premier told ABC radio on Wednesday.

"It's obviously a working document that shows how hard we've actually been working over the last few months.

"It's not much of a secret."
