SA looks for new energy projects

South Australia is looking for new energy projects with Premier Jay Weatherill inviting bids from companies to invest in renewable energy projects.

The South Australian government has invited bids from companies interested in investing in renewable energy projects and sharing in a $150 million government fund.

Investment guidelines have been released for projects that will deliver clean, reliable and affordable power through extra generation, new storage systems, or through bio-energy.

"We want to support innovative companies and entrepreneurs in a state that is nurturing cutting-edge technology," Premier Jay Weatherill says.
