A South Australian MP who is facing numerous fraud charges will contest the next state election.
Former Liberal Troy Bell, who is accused of misappropriating more than $2 million from a training provider, will stand as an independent in the March election.
"I am standing in the next state election. I am not going to back down. I think I have got a lot more to achieve for our region," Mr Bell told ABC radio on Friday.
"I am going to give the people of Mount Gambier the choice of which candidate they would like."
Mr Bell was forced to quit the Liberal party in August over the allegations after an investigation by the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption resulted in him being charged with 20 counts of dishonestly dealing with money and theft.

The charges relate to the period between 2009 and 2013, before he entered politics.
Mr Bell has previously said he will "vigorously" fight the allegations against him.
The MP was elected as the member for the seat of Mount Gambier, in the state's southeast, in 2014.
His case returns to court in February.
